The course involves a combination of didactic teaching, demonstration and role play, experiential learning and discussion.
The course lecturers are Dr Karen Heslop-Marshall, nurse consultant and Karen Corder, senior lecturer, both are cognitive behavoural therapists and have significant experience in the NHS working the patients with physical health problems.

The course is designed for practitioners (e.g. nurses, and allied health professionals) interested in learning CBT skills and techniques and providing care for patients with long-term or life-limiting physical health conditions.
Participants will complete an online training module before attending two teaching days.
The course provides 30 hours continuous professional development (15 hours of e-learning and 15 hours participatory learning). A certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the course.
